These are soft, responsive E strings. I have been using Helicore until now but recently changed as the E string was very shrill. I can now play way up the neck of the violin and there is no harshness, no notes that pop out.

This is a well balanced string used by so many professional violinists and I've just ordered another 3 as the Thomann price is so good!

Mein Instrument hat einen sehr satten Klang in den tiefen Tönen. Allerdings klingt die E Saite sehr schrill und ein wenig "kratzig". Durch die Piratstro Oliv Saite bekomme ich jetzt auch in den hohen Tönen meinen gewünschten Klang. Dadurch ist das Spielvergnügen noch ein wenig höher. Einfach gut, nur empfehlenswert.

Cette corde m'a été recommandée par mon luthier Fabrice Gougi quand j'ai acheté mon violon VM4 chez lui en 2012. J'ai eu l'occasion d'essayer d'autres modèles de cordes, mais je suis revenu à l'originale. J'utilise un jeu de cordes Eudoxa pour Sol, Ré, La, et je remplace la chanterelle par cette Oliv. L'ensemble est bien assorti et le timbre est homogène sur toute la tessiture de l'instrument.
