Not what I was hoping for...

As a long time user of Dominants, who switched to Larsen Tziganes about five years ago, I was hoping these strings would be the perfect new string. On my violin they were harsh, brittle and didn't settle after two weeks. Threw them away and went back to Tziganes... not for me, but could work for some. Disappointed but I'm sure they are a good string.

These strings genuinely make playing easier. The tone quality is immense. You can make a very brilliant sound on the E-string and simultaneously play brilliant on any other string. There is a lot of depth in the sound. It sounds rather deep than metallic. In my opinion synthetic strings have always been proven to be one of the best for the violin. I always rebuy these strings as a mostly solo performer on the violin.

Die neuen Dominant Pro Saiten sind - kurz gesagt - sehr gut.

Ich hatte Sie zuerst auf einer langen (36cm Korpuslänge) Französischen Geige (spätes 19. Jhdt.) und aktuell auf einer Franz Geissenhoff (1803) aufgezogen. Auf diesen sehr unterschiedlichen Instrumenten
haben die Saiten praktisch gleich gut funktioniert.

Die Balance der 4 Saiten ist - sowohl klanglich als auch dynamisch - ausgezeichnet, der Klang Dominant-typisch warm - satt und „ringing“, dennoch detailreich, die Ansprache/Spielbarkeit sehr einfach.
Im Vergleich zu den alten Dominant-Saiten haben sich
die D- und E-Saite deutlich verbessert, die G ist dunkler, gefällt mir.
Der Dynamik - Bereich ist größer geworden.
Die alte Dominant A wird wohl weiterhin eine treue Fangemeinde haben,
die war/ist einfach ein absoluter Volltreffer, auch, weil sie so wunderbar
mit vielen Darm- aber auch anderen G- und D- Saiten harmoniert.

Insgesamt denke ich, ein sehr gutes Gesamtpaket, Kompliment an Franz Klanner, den Entwickler !
