Excellent addition to the Rode Blimp

I bought this for the Rode blimp I already have. I bought the T.bone EM9900 from thoman. (see my review) it is the same high quality as the original blimp.
I now have a really good mic in a great Windshield at a Fraction of the Cost of similar items, all thanks to thoman. I'm in the UK and can't find similar products at the same price! it is worth the wait of a few days for delivery, especialy when the postage is LESS than some companies charge in the UK. I am one really pleased customer!

Zugegeben, viele Mikrofone gibt es nicht, für die man so ein Monster braucht. Aber für das NTG-8 von Rode z.B. kommt man nicht rumherum. Allerdings hat die Idee, den Standardblimp einfach zu verlängern auch einen praktischen Nachteil: Der Umbau der Halterung nimmt doch etwas Zeit (und Werkzeug) in Anspruch. Also mal schnell vom NTG-3 aufs NTG-8 wechseln - ist nicht. Wer viel mit beiden Kalibern arbeitet und am Set nicht viel Zeit hat, wird sich über kurz oder lang noch einen extra Blimp zulegen müssen, damit beide Mikros ein festes Zuhause bekommen.

Aunque Rode dice que no en su web, funciona perfectamente con el Rode Blimp mk2 (ellos dicen que no).

Genial para micrófonos de cañón más largos (en mi caso un AKG C300b+CD98 que se pasa un poco de las medidas recomendadas).

Como inconveniente el Blimp queda demasiado desequilibrado con esta extensión larga en la parte frontal. Sería ideal que lanzaran además una con una longitud un poco menor, digamos, la mitad.

No obstante muy bien, el Rode Blimp y la extensión tienen una relación calidad precio estupenda.
