Das RODE NT3 ist ein echter Allrounder mit einem - wie ich finde - unschlagbaren Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis. Ich habe es in meiner Band zweifach im Einsatz. Zunächst mal traditionell als Overhead-Mikro für das Drumset. Da wir unsere Coverband (Top 40ies-Septett) komplett auf IEM umgestellt haben und auch im Proberaum konsequent damit arbeiten, ist es hier immer mit am Start. Hier reicht es aus, um das komplette Set mit Ausnahme der Kick transparent und knackig im IEM-Mix abzubilden. Gerade mir als Bassist ist es wichtig, auch die Snare und die HiHat gut im Mix zu hören, kommt alles perfekt. Weiteres Einsatzgebiet in unserer Band ist das RODE NT3 als Audience-Mic bei größeren Zeltgeschäften.

Einfach das NT3 mit einer LP-Claw in die Truss gehängt und den Sound dem IEM-Signal nach belieben zugemischt: Super Atmo, nix zu meckern. Auch in meinem Schul-Chorprojekt sind regelmäßig 3 Mics dieses Typs am Start, auch hier rundum zufrieden. Langlebigkeit ist erprobt: Im Schulleben fällt halt auch mal was runter. Kein Problem für das NT3. Kleinster Kratzer auf der Außenhülle, ansonsten geht's weiter wie gehabt. Von mir alle möglichen Punkte für einen tollen Allrounder.

Substitut für AKG C1000 ??

Da bis vor kurzem das C1000 noch über dem Preis des Rode NT3 lag, habe ich es mal probiert. Klingt ähnlich dem C1000, vielleicht einen Tick agiler. Für Sprachübertragung ziehe ich dennoch das bewährte (alte) C1000 vor, denn das NT3 neigt zum zischeln - d.h. die S-Laute kommen sehr spitz. Da nützt auch kein Drehem am EQ. Dann wird es höchstens dumpfer. Aber die Überbetonung der S-Laute bleibt. Für Instrumentenabnahme finde ich es besser geeignet.

Dennoch ein gelungenes Mikrofon mit guter Verarbeitung.

Das NT3 ist eher ein hart klingendes Mikro, dass sehr ehrlich und neutral klingt. Es ist wahrlich kein Schönfärber, passt aber so ziehmlich vor alles mit was man es befeuert.
Für Fieldrecordings ist der Batteriebetrieb bestimmt praktsich, hat bei mir aber bislang noch keine Verwendung gefunden. Ich hab's gern vor der Akustik-Gitarre oder an HiHats oder Ride-Becken. Kommt auch mal am Horn einer E-Bass-Box ziehmlich gut.

Kann's mir auch prima an Streichinstrumenten vorstellen und bei Sprachaufnahmen hat es sich bei mir eigentlich auch schon recht ordentlich geschlagen. Toll sind natürlich die 10 Jahre Rode Garantie. Und, dass sie diese guten Gewissens geben können, sieht man diesem sehr gut gebauten Mikrofon auch an. Die "nervigen Rode-Höhen", von denen immer mal wieder die Rede ist, kommen ganz sicher nicht von diesem Mikro. Es ist ein solides Mikro, das man guten Gewissens aus der Schublade ziehen kann, wenn man gerade keine Wunderwaffe zur Hand hat.

das nt3 ist unschlagbar vielseitig, wenn es um den anschluss ans mischpult geht. ob phantomspeisung oder nicht - das nt3 kann mit einer 9v batterie betrieben werden und dann überall problemlos angestöpselt werden.
die halterung ist solide, hat das mikro fest im griff.
die charakteristik der membran ist so gestaltet, dass das mikro sehr schön nach vorne und etwas in die breite, aber nicht nach hinten hört. das hilft der sängerin, z.b. gegen schnelle feedbacks aus einem monitor.
klanglich hat es nicht soviel tiefgang wie der große bruder (nt2a), lässt aber gesang, trommeln und alles dazwischen gut in das pult oder die daw.
durch das relativ geringe gewicht machen auch schmalere overhead-stative nicht schlapp.
durch die lange bauform ist es auch als gesangsmikro auf der bühne geeignet.

...ist eben ein echtes rode mikro. kaufe keine mehr von anderen marken.
