Swissonic Professional Router 2 MKIII

I always wanted a router that I could put with the mixer in a rack, when I found this I never doubted, and hit the purchase. Well, this is the most powerful router I ever used. I owned several digital mixers in 14 years, we know that the internal Wi-Fi of the TouchMix (QSC), Mackie DLS series, Soundcraft Ui series, although they occasionally fail, is stressful to go to a show thinking the signal may interrupt. Of course I can mention the bests, which are the Allen & Heath CQ series, they never drop, I tried getting far as 90 meters from a CQ-18T and still worked flawlessly.
But I need to name the worsts, the Behringer XR series, definitively unreliable and the Midas M18 (horrible as Behringer).
Since 2012 when I purchased my first, the Mackie DL1608, I've been with the worry of if I can trust the connexion every gig.
I put this router Swissonic with my brand new Presonus StudioLive 32R, then I grab my scooter and move far, very far around 200 meters and more, the next block, went to the bus stop more than 100 meters away, even get inside a Pharmacy and never lost signal of the mixer. Then the first moment of true came, with the responsibility to do the sound for 2 bands and my own band in an event that was schedule from 2pm until 9pm. we were ready around noon, and finish at 10:30pm, with a solid signal!
The other good thing is that the regular router, because its size, always needs to be carried apart, or inside the rack case where I had to put velcro to have it steady. With this one I am confident it is attached perfectly to the rack case, also it looks professional 100%.
Why then I did not put the five stars? Because the antennas! they have to be adjusted every time, and the quality is noticeable inferior compared with the finishing to the device, If Thomann can manufacture stronger, high quality antennas I surely will buy them, is not a big deal, but this product in my opinion is one of the most important in a sound set up, for sound technicians and musicians. I will buy another unit to put in my two level stories home, which the signal from the internet provider is strong upstairs, but weak downstairs, after I use this at home and the difference is a big step. I strongly recommend this product, you will never be disappointed.

Das Geräte ist super, was Qualität, Funkionalität und Aussstattung betrifft - absolut Top. Leider sind es die gleichen Antennen wie bei der Vorgängerversion. Die halten leider garnicht viel aus.

Da gerade in Racks um den Deckel zu schließen diese regelmäßig gedreht werden müssen ist es eine Frage der Zeit bis diese kaputt gehen.
Das ist was anderes bei einem Heimgerät, welches man einmal aufbaut und es dann so stehen lässt. Schade das man sich dieser Schwachstelle nicht angenommen hat.

Wirklich versagt hat bei dem Gerät der Designer der Verpackung: Die Antennen werden am Gerät montiert geliefert - mit der Antennenseite nach außen. Wenig verwunderlich, dass mein erster Router daher schonmal mit herausgebrochener Antennenbuchse geliefert wurde. Sry, aber da hat jemand seine Hausaufgaben nicht gemacht...

Endlich gibt es ihn wieder und das sogar in einer neueren Variante. Ausgepackt eingerichtet funktioniert tadellos. Würde ihn sofort wieder kaufen.

Bedienung im Menü absolut easy.
Sendeleistung voll okay, aber noch nicht im Live Einsatz getestet. Hoffe doch das er da mindestens genauso gut ist wie sein Vorgänger :-)

Après quelques temps à chercher un routeur WIFI rackable afin de réaliser mon réseau sécurisé pour ma régie j'ai trouvé ce modèle parfaitement adapté à mon besoin.
Mise en route et paramétrage très facile et un gain de temps non négligeable pour la mise en place lors des spectacles. Je l'utilise pour connecter ma Midas M32 Live et mon rack de scène pour le contrôle depuis une tablette de tous mes équipements connectés (DSP, Micros HF, etc...)
Investissement plus que rentabilisé, je recommande.
