Takamine TRI-AX Happy owner!

Firstly i'm no expert, however i know what i wanted and the Takamine TRI-AX gave it to me!... I wanted a sound hole pickup that i could just bung in the guitar, remove if i wanted to and would allow me to just plug in and play....but....most importantly, gave a natural acoustic guitar sound, and thats what its does. Out of the box with no adjustment its sounds better that i thought it would, natural! Active/passive switch difficult to get to (located on base of unit) but not a major problem. Build quality seems ok. Mine is installed in a Yamaha LL11 and i'm very pleased with it.

Good but difficult to access

A good acoustic pick up, with nice balanced result (even if I can't compare with other product, at least in my recording it works really well). Only issue would be to access the on/off button inside the guitar hole, really difficult... But with volume to zero, the battery seems to be fine over time...

T
great addition to my takamine

enriches the sound enormously when plugged into the cool tube pre-amp as an additional input, and mixed with the piezo pickup. only downside: the soundboard of the guitar becomes microphonic when the volume is turned up, so any slaps or taps in your playing style get overamplified...
