For this price??
Karl975 29.10.2013
I recently bought 4 of these for our on stage side fills and drum fills and was genuinely amazed at the sound and build quality of them. I ran an A B test against other twin 18" subs that have respected brand names and these stood the test and seemed like the logical purchase. I will admit that the are no match for something like the coda SCP's, but if you don't have several thousand to spend per sub or the funds for the dsp amplifiers that go with something like that then you really and truly can't go wrong with these. For the price I was expecting a flimsily built box but these are sturdy as anything that you would pay top price for. Highly recommended!!

Easy to Handle and Great for Budget Setups
Edvard.S 18.11.2025
The The Box Pro TP218/1600 MkIII is very easy to handle. It has plenty of handles, so it can be carried around easily, and it also has screws on the back for wheels, making transport simple. The speakers have a good SPL and can reach very low frequencies. While they’re not the absolute best in SPL, they are more than good enough and excellent for budget setups and smaller rigs.

When choosing speakers, I always check what amplifiers others use, and here I’m using the t.amp TSA 4-700, which delivers 1800W @ 4Ω. This gives the speakers enough power with a bit of headroom.

Some downsides: the paint wears off easily, and they can distort a little when pushed hard. However, with proper gain and limiter settings, this isn’t a problem. Overall, very satisfied for the price and practical for small to medium setups.

BIG SUBS
Adrian1215 17.01.2014
I also have the mkII subs, which I love more, I think that the MK III are less powerfull then the MKII, the MKIII have punchy bass, but not so deep they throw sound much further then the MKII, a big improvement is the weight and the accesories, more rigging points and a really good improvement is the front grill. So they are for large events clubs or concerts outdoor where high spl is needed.

These drop bomb

Were using 4 of these always run of distro power to our amps for various different events. Mainly parties, playing anything from House, drum n bass, garage and charts. 4 of these outplay most big systems with 3 times the price bracket. If you want big bass then get 4 and power them properly.

Possibly the best double 18” under £2000
Matthew D. 21.10.2025
Having used an almost endless amount of subwoofers over the years I thought I’d give these a try and bought 4 of them. As soon as I fired them up I was blown away and they continue to blow me away every time I use them. They handle everything I throw at them, they are being powered properly from some PKN XD6000 (3500wrms @ 4 ohms) and they never miss a beat and take a hammering all night long. They are very punchy but with a bit of eq they sound deep and warm too.

The only bad thing about them is the paint. It’s thin and comes off with even the slightest touch. Be prepared to sand and paint them regularly if you want to keep them looking nice.

Amazing Subs at affordable price
Anonymous 22.08.2016
Own four of these, The Build quality is excellent. Sound is excellent. Punch way above brand expectations.

Wheels are a must, but fitting is easy (pre-drilled holes with bolts already fitted)

Using them as main PA with JBL Top cabs for Live bands and DJ sets.
