Great mic even for cajon
I bought it for Cajon. Since there were no reviews with this setup I was gambling a bit with this buy. I simply set it inside Cajon on the bottom and surprisingly it picks up snare and clapping also. There is also enough bass sound. Minor corrections on the mixer and that is all.

A great boundary mic
I didn't see enough reviews about this mic in english so I decided to write one. My use case for this microphone was using it as a kick mic. I was hoping for a boundary mic that will provide me with a meaty kick and minimum feedback and that's exactly what I got.
The microphone build quality amazed me as it seems really sturdy. It's small, a little bit heavy and has a non slip rubber backing. The case is just a regular cardboard case and it comes with a small "leather" bag.
The microphone itself sounds beefy. It has a recessed switch that switches from EQ to Linear. I prefer EQ as it gives me a nice thump and all in all I'm really satisfied with it.

PS
It's everything you need - don't spend more
Amazing mic. I had bought a Shure beta 91A (second hand on another online shop - NOT thomann) and it turned out to be a fake. I was back looking for a Kick drum mic but I wasn't ready to spend (and potentially lose) €300. So this boundary mic from Thomann caught my eyes. I already have a cheap Bass drum mic for over 10 years, it not the best but it never failed, so I decided to take a risk with the BD 500 Beta. It wasn't going to ruin me and if it's anything to go by like the other mic I own, it'll be a nice purchase over time.
I tried it live last saturday and it's amazing. Sounds great, full, rich bass and a nice thump. Perfect. That all I wanted. Why pay more for the Shure when you can have the same thing for 1/3rd of the price. An absolute must have.

Great addition to mic locker
At a fraction of the price of its peers, this is a great sounding mic for tracking in the studio and for live. I wouldn’t be without it now.

What a mic! Perfect for live kick drum
My standard go to mic is a beta 91a but I thought I would try this out for the price. I play drums live a lot and with a little boost of 60hz and a bit of top end click its a full bodied meaty sounding kick drum! I could say better than the beta 91a! Fantastic build quality and great price!

Hi
Fantastic!!
What and good mic! Experiment a little mic placement. I got that sweet, tight kickdrum sound with a nice amount of click to it, didnt need to eq it!

Wow... wasn't expecting that
What an absolute monster of a mic, binned the AKG one and popped this in a kick drum and boom... we have the kick drum even Usul would shrink from... seriously, what a brilliant little bass drum mic.

Excellent for kick
Surprisingly good! It is so close to the Beta91 that I really can't justify the extra 200€. I got just the sound I wanted for the kick in my recording studio. I don't know if it can stand the beating of live sound, maybe there the extra cost of the shure would make sense. But for recording, I am 100% happy.

Very good for the price
I was shocked at how good this mic sounds. I bought it for a kick drum, and it immediately sounded awesome.
