Not Bad, Not Great

This absorber is for High Frequencies which is why I bought it for my bedroom I had some bad reflections in my room, these did somewhat help, I can't complain either for the price but these aren't a permant solution.

It's a quite nice product, it absorbs high frequencies as supposed to. But the only issue is that the edges of each panel does not match each other in order to create a clean look with out cuts.

I use to sing in a booth and there was a few echo and i purchase the t.akustik N40 and tape them alongside the wall and ceiling. Did make the change. The echo was absorbed fairly! Good one! The price for quantity is very reasonable. Good to start with !

Not thick enough
OliverSean 22.12.2014
I've used a few of these on my door and a bit on the ceiling above my sweet spot. It was either this or return them. I wouldn't recommend these 40's however the 80's are just amazing. Also if you don't need the 80's which are thick, go for the 50's squares that come in 16 pieces packs. Those are wonderful and
As good as auralex I think. Cheers

Does the Job

It's abit thin, so it's only going to absorb higher frequencies. Right now I'm using this on less impoortant areas of my studio i.e unaesential spaces. I think it does the job if you're just using one or two of these. But I would definentely go for a thicker panel for the main areas of the studio i.e early reflections.

A different aspect to the panel which I didn't expect is the smell. It leaves a very odourous synthetic smell on your studio. It takes about 2-3 weeks to go away. So just something to keep in mind as it is after all made from a cheap material. Now that I'm ordering more of these, I'll probally be leaving them out in the back garden for a couple of days. Perharps put some spray on it.

Otherwise, the panel is fine.

Great to use for a starting producer or recording home studio / cinema. Also due to it's price. Very reliable and for a fair amount of money you can purchase a few.

It doesn't absorb all the acoustic problems, but it's great for the price it costed. By adding some foam for the bass range and a couple mufflers, it's possib le to get a very good room for recording anything.
