Surprising little sticks
I ordered these microphones in need for some stereo recordings.
I had to make just one and I thought that 40€ is bare maximum. So I bought these.
After I hooked these up I was quite surprised what 20€ could give me - pleasant sound.
First I tried to record some binaural ambience. Worked out great for me. Picks up sounds good thanks to a cardioid recording pattern. Being a small condenser microphone it isn't that sensitive.
But this was enough to get me to try recording a piano. I set it up as stereo one for lower end, one for higher end.
At home I listened back the recordings and it sound fairly good.
The mids were a bit muffled and the low end a bit weak but it was easily compensated by an EQ. Not perfect but not utterly bad either. I think the okay rating describes these microphones quite well. They aren't good but they can get the job done (by jumping through some hoops).

Cheap and noisey
I used them twice and then bought better mic's. Since then I never use them. Too much self noise for most recording jobs. The good thing is you can leave them rigged and no one will nick them. No good for high end use. Good for a kid or a beginner. Just know they are a bit hissy.

Good not great!
These mics are a great addition to my collection, but they have their flaws. The frequency response is great, amazingly good for their price, sometimes a bit harsh, but nothing that represents a big problem, it depends on the use you give to them. Perhaps my biggest issue with these is the noise level, they're extremely sensitive, but also don't filter very well. So if you're someone who doesn't have a perfectly soundproof environment, this product is NOT for you, as they will capture everything, from the guitar picking to the leaves that get crashed by the cars on your street.

One mic work fine, the other not
One of the mics produce hum. I just contacted Thomann for return. The other one work fine. I used it for recording acoustic guitar and percussion.

Okay for the price
I bought these overheads to make home recordings of my cymbals, and I did not expect anything special from theses due to the price. I already have a set of more expensive overheads for studio use, so I could compare the sound.
Basically I should say that these t.bone microphones work for their price. The catch less high frequency shimmer than the microphones that cost three times the price, and I relly did not have a need to use the additional features ? the low-cut filter and the switchable pad. However the shockmount, windscreen and stereo bar came quite handy, and I would say that this set is very OK for non-professional home use.
