Good for the price

I got these to record a stereo image of my acoustic guitar for bedroom recordings. These mics pretty much just do the job for me, I have yet to try them out as an overhead pair for drums but I can predict they'll work fine, looking at their frequency chart.

Pros:
- Affordable
- Includes a stereo rail which is very useful when using the mics, shock mounts and windscreens.
- Features selectable pads AND high pass filter cutoffs which I appreciate on mics.

Cons:
- The shock mounts are very tight to get the mics in and out of which might be troublesome for others.
- These mics aren't amazing for recording acoustic guitar as they sound a bit "thinny". I'd say these mics are more designed to be used for overheads.

Overall, I'd say if you're looking for a cheap solution to drum overheads, try out these mics. But for close micing guitars or anything, I'd advise looking for a different kind of small diaphragm condensers.

Excellent value

We bought this stereo set for studio recordings mainly for stereo OH and acoustic guitars. Sound is great, they have little low end cut even with no-low cut switch engage. For OH we do it comparison wit Samson CO2, Oktava 012MKII, and AT Pro 37, and must to say it handle with this other mics very well. Better than Samson and AT and different than Oktava. I'm not saying that they are better ore vorse then Oktava, just different type of beast! Great for everyone who looking to by low cost stereo pair condenser misc.

I used these on recording for hi-hat and also for overheads, the right high-punch for this application. Hi-hats a little better imo. Don't expect great depth's & warmths from these guys, for warm sounding acoustic guitars or vocals I recommend the use of large diaphragm mic's even though I once recorded drums with only these two, it can be done. It's surely a good bang for the buck.

Very nice mic.
Very robust and with nice sound capture.
I use it in front of guitar amp and you can really see the difference when placing mic towards the centre or not.
The db option is really audible

Decent sound, beyond affordable, has limitation that are manageable
Guzber 07.03.2024
I bought those after multiple investigations, demos watched and reviews read. I used them to record a small choir along a built in mics of a Zoom H6. I was expecting a wider dynamic range, but also did not want to boost gain too much. The result - very good "atmospheric sound", that gives the feels of the room with fewer details than expected (I placed the microphones at significant distance from the actual singers). From close range the results are very good. Recommend a set of few.

Value for money is an understatement
Anonymous 22.05.2014
Seriously - these mics should cost twice or three times as much. They are excellent for capturing the guitar, small percussion and as overheads. The build quality is nice, even though they can't compare with those ten times the price. Features are excellent, with pad, lo-cut filter, complemented with windscreen and shockmount, and a stereo bar. Will most likely get some pairs in a not too distant future.

Surprising usable

Put these next to high end SDC microphone and you will clearly hear their shortcomings, but for occasional use where an SDC is appropriate these mics are really good for the price. Well built and the included accessories make them a true bargain.

I use them in a live situation where I know they could get banged about.

They just do the job
Anonymous 11.06.2015
What to expect? They record and do the job just fine. You have to EQ them on the Daw and both don't sound alike, nothing it cant be managed. They are very sensitive as they should be. Nothing negative to say. For the price you cant get better.

Can't complain for the money
Anonymous 14.03.2016
Great value, with nice suspension mounts. I've used them for micing acoustic instruments for two theatre seasons with no complaints and they're still going OK.
