Handle with care

I purchased the clip as part of a bundle (t.bone Ovid CC 100) for use with a full-size nylon string classical guitar and a dread-naught steel string acoustic.

Pros:
(1) The clip is great value for money.
(2) It physically fits both of my guitars.
(3) The wing-bolt and slider are easy to adjust for positioning the height of an attached mic.

Cons:
(1) The clip can slip easily so I use paper 'masking' tape to secure it when I play live.
(2) The light plastic design feels a little flimsy and bend easily, which causes the clip to slip (without tape).
(3) The span of the clamping parts could be wider to improve the clamp's grip.

Overall I am happy with the clip. I play sitting down and don't move around much while I play, so any minor movement of the clip (for me) is not detrimental to its usability. There are much better clips on the market, but I use the clip with an equally affordable mic so it suits my needs (at the price).

Good microphone
Creation Recording Studio 11.05.2020
This is a great sounding microphone at an unbelievably low price for what it is. On the other hand you have to be gentle with this mic, it's ideal in studio situations, where you can really take care of something, I don't know what this would be like in a busy touring band, it's not like a PA Mic that you can throw in the back of a van, if you take care of this microphone like you take care of your instrument it will be fine, and it will last you a long time. Not like some musicians I know that just wrap up the leads quickly and throw them in a box and onto the next gig. this microphone needs taken care of and protection. well this microphone is so cheap I would buy a second one as a spare if you're planning to tour.

Guitar system clip works well
Anonymous 02.03.2017
I have found the clip to be absolutely fine after ~50 pub gigs. What I like about it is that it is slightly elastic so you can fit it on the guitar, do up the screw to secure it, and then the elasticity allows you to very slightly bend it to take it off the guitar. Then you can put it back on easily the next time you use it by slightly bending it and you do not have to use the screw again. The rubber feet allow it to slide on and off the guitar without damaging it. This works well for me and it is very easy to use. I fix it to the lower bout (not the upper bout as is commonly shown in the photos), so by rights gravity ought to make it fall off, but it does not. Even set on the lower bout (which gives a better mic position in my opinion) it is very stable and has never fallen off while I am playing. This tells me the clip grips the guitar firmly and works very well. I am very happy with it.

Okay
Anonymous 22.03.2017
I bought this for my Ovid mic and to attach to my resonator or classical guitar - neither of which have built in pick-ups or mics.

Unfortunately, I couldn't make it grip onto the resonator or classical guitar body; kept slipping off no matter how tight or loose I tried to make it. In the end I used some Blu-tack to give it more grip. It worked, but I was annoyed that it was necessary: if I'm buying a product I'd rather not have to make such DIY adjustments - even if they're only minor.

On the bright side the Ovid mic fitted very nicely to it and when it was gripping both guitars I was able to get the quality I was looking for. So, over all I'd give this product an Okay.
