Tolles Mundstück mit viel Höhen

Ich habe das Mundstück als Ersatz für ein schon älteres Otto Link bestellt, das ich nur geliehen hatte, für ein SML Gold Medal Tenor mit Vandoren V16 3 1/2 Blättern.

Erstmal grosse Begeisterung: Die Verarbeitung ist super, das Mundstück spielt sehr frei und dynamisch und klingt auf Anhieb gut.

Am Schluss habe ich es aber doch zurückgesandt, der hohe Ton c und die Palm Keys d e f sind schrill rausgebrochen, das Altissimo war unkontrollierbar und quäkig und am wichtigsten: Der Sound hat sich nicht in die Section (Trompete/Posaune) gemischt.

Entgegen der Beschreibung hat das Mundstück für mich nicht so viel mit einem Vintage Otto Link zu tun, und auch nicht zu viel mit den helleren Neuinterpretationen (wie z.B. Vandoren V16 oder Gottsu Sepia Tone).
Das ist eher ein ganz eigener Sound, der sehr nach vorne geht, und es wird sicher Saxophonisten geben, die genau diesen suchen.
Also lohnt sich das Ausprobieren!
