Classic Style - Great Value
Cuztard Pi 16.02.2016
My son selected this ?cool? looking case for me to buy as a present to house & protect his new Fender Tele (which fits perfectly). He is very happy with both.

As usual with this style of case (i.e. a rectangular case / not fully fitted) there is plenty of room inside which does allow the guitar some moving space, more or less, depending on guitar body size/shape; but any undue movement can easily be restricted with judicious placement of a cleaning cloth or 2 around the body of the guitar.
The large enclosed accessory compartment at the top of the case is very useful and something I really miss in my own fitted style guitar cases ?. Hmmm, I might have to invest in one of these myself!!

When empty, the case is a little top heavy due to the accessory compartment so does not balance fully when being carried; however, this imbalance when empty results in a nice balance with a guitar & a few accessories inside, so that the case has a horizontal aspect when being carried & .. clever stuff!! ?. this is a nice hidden feature of this case (all my fitted cases are bottom heavy when being carried (as you would expect)).

The gorgeous tweed finish and striking inner red lining have been well applied & go to make it really look the part and stand out from the rest! That?s what caught my son?s eye!

For an inexpensive case, the general construction quality and hardware appointment is very good and will provide the required & expected long term protection to your ?precious? inside when carried in the car or by hand. However I would not trust this style of case for any 3rd party transport; better safe than sorry!

However, let?s face it, if you buy this case, it is for one reason only ? TWEED!!! It is true that there is something special about guitars & tweed. No matter how clichéd it might be or how ostentatious & flamboyant it clearly is, there is something about tweed & guitars that go together like Black + Sabbath, Pink + Floyd, Purple + Deep .. etc. ;-D Tweed makes an impression; Anyone walking into a gig carrying such a case is certainly making a statement. So, if you are bit of a poseur (as most of us guitarist are .. go on be honest!! that?s why we like pretty looking guitars right!!??), this case is right up your alley!

Yes, you are paying a 30% premium for the pleasure of owning a Tweed case (when compared to Thomann?s own standard black E-Guitar wooden case) but that is only £10 extra and well worth it to show off with.

Thomann?s price for this case (~ £45 as part of a free delivery from Thomann) is very competitive even when compared to any new similar standard good quality hard case that you can find (e.g. on EBay). But once you take into account the fact that it is tweed then it becomes a bit of a bargain; you?ll do well to find a similar good quality ?tweed? case out there for less than a third more!

So if you?re in the market for a new case & you want something different to the boring, run-of-the-mill black cases that you usually see, you would do well to consider this classy looking, well made, tweed beauty.

J
Excellent case, inexpensive but has a quality retro finish.

Don't be fooled by the price of this tweed guitar case, mine arrived after only 1week. First impressions? It looks exactly how it's advertised. Surprising well made, I have tried to find any fault/imperfections and I can honestly say this case arrived in perfect condition. The off center handle balances equally when your guitar is inside, and the lockable catches with two keys are a nice added feature. I have to say, the stand out feature of this case is the colour of the inside. The plush velvet red is a beautiful compliment to the gold medal fastenings, it really catches the eye. The padding is more than sufficient, and I would highly recommend this case for any folks who own vintage/retro style guitars.
Seriously, for 79euros, considering the look and feel of this case, how can I not rate this case 5 stars.
Very happy with it, and would defiantly recommend it to anyone half thinking of buying a tweed case.

P
A well built economy case
Paul1347 05.03.2017
I bought this case for a relived strat I had and it was just the job for the price, you can't even get some gig bags for this price and with this you are getting a rock solid case.

It was delivered in a large box well packed and in good condition, the tweed is very nice and it reminds you of the famous brand that uses this type of covering , the inside is a beautiful soft red material that caresses your guitar keeping it safe , especially when sliding around in the back of a transit van, travelling home from a jam night at the local pub.

One of our jammers had a builders van and I had this case in the back with my strat in, it was prone to slide around a bit but the guitar was safe and snug as a bug in a rug inside the case.

I decided to relic mine which is rather fun, you can give it a lived in appearance with the help of some wood dye or varnish , a cigarette burn here and there and a spilled drink.

I sold my strat as I play mostly single cuts now like les Paul's etc but I have hung onto this case as I know I may always end up with a strat or tele for various purposes, Rolling Stones stuff etc and it's worth hanging onto, it has been kept in the shed and has withstood a harsh winter and various leaks but the inside remains like new, I think the varnish protected it.it does look super though in the lovely untouched tweed , why pay more, it was just as good to use as the fancy tweed I got with my malmsteen strat which was slightly more luxurious and expensive , and the thomann one is certainly worthwhile if you want to use it for local gigs or further afield. It's a no brainier to buy this

I
Bought for a Harley Benton TE-90QM
Ian_T 13.05.2018
I bought this case for a Harley Benton TE-90QM and it's perfect for it. It's a sturdy case, not the highest build quality but for the price I wouldn't have expected anything different.
For what I need to use it for - to keep my guitar safe around the house when I'm not playing it - it's absolutely perfect. The guitar feels nicely supported inside and there's a handy storage compartment for picks, strap, whatever.
It has a bit of weight to it but it's not too heavy, not as heavy as some other cases I've carried, and the catches feel secure - not sure how effective the lock would be against much force but to prevent the case accidentally coming open when in transit it serves a purpose.
Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Its Cheap, but it ends there?
naitomea 08.12.2021
If you are comparing this to a Fender Tweed case, then you may be pretty disappointed quickly. It feels cheap and flimsy, I wouldnt stake my expensive instrument inside and carry out for sessions.

Amazing quality for the money! Very solid and sturdy case. Maybe a bit on the heavy side, but it'll definitely do the trick.

My only complaint is that some of the tweed had some snags and areas that were stitched back together, but very small and minor and are just very tiny cosmetic things. That said - if you're looking for a *perfect* and immaculate looking case then you'll need to shell out some more cash for a different model. But again, this is a very minor cosmetic thing and mostly isn't noticeable.
