T
Great sounding string and they last longer than most.

I'm a big fan of Thomastik strings. The level of quality they deliver puts most other strings manufacturers to shame. Thomastik strings last longer and for my taste have a superior sound to most.

These ones are no exception. They may not be the most unique and interesting strings in the Thomastik catalog, like the Jazz series. These ones are more like Thomastik's take on "standard" electric guitar strings, only better. They have excellent clarity with a bright yet smooth sound and they feel very nice under the fingers.

Highly recommended!

Unacceptable

I am not a novice guitar technician. I am 51 years old and have been changing strings since I was 14, and professionally since 2004. While I recommend D’Addario to most of my clients, I occasionally try top-tier strings to test the waters.

Immediately after installing these, the high E string broke while stretching. In all my years of experience, this has never happened to me—not even with budget brands. The fact that it happened with these strings is unbelievable. While one could argue it was just a "lemon," at this price point, it is unacceptable. To be honest, I am so frustrated by this that I will be contacting both Thomann and Thomastik directly.

Decent strings but don't believe the hype
MikeT 12.01.2014
I bought some of these as I'd heard great things about Infelds; tone and string life were the main things. I'd suggest that perhaps the very expensive Infelds could live up to this billing but these ones are very much the same as it's similarly priced competitors; Ernie and D'add. Used D'adds for years and honestly didn't notice any difference plus string life wise I had a breakage pretty much when I always do ;) Pretty good but nothing special.
