Good reeds

Good quality reeds and consistent, I tried loads of different reed manufacturer’s and these weren’t quite right for me but they are very good and plenty of others do get on really well with them so bit of a personal thing.

If something works, why change it?
I have been playing Vandoren reeds since I started studying music as a child. Even though I have tried most other brands, I have never switched to plastic reeds or different brands. That's loyalty and satisfaction with a brand.

Da ich ein Freund der filed Blätter bin, habe ich auch das Java Filed einem Test unterzogen. Hinsichtlich Qualität, Verarbeitung, Haltbarkeit und Ansprache gibt es objektiv betrachtet absolut nichts auszusetzen - Vandoren Qualität eben.

Und doch werde ich dieses Blatt nicht einsetzen. Der Grund ist ein subjektiver, denn ich finde diesen Sound auf dem Sopran nicht besonders ansprechend, dieses Blatt ist wie gemacht für das Alt. Wer einen kräftigen, knackigen Sound auf dem Sopran sucht, sollte sich alternativ das V16 anschauen. Das Java Filed ist sehr laut und direkt, allerdings finde ich den Ton zu dünn und zu wenig voluminös auf dem Sopran. Ich habe getestet auf dem Rico Graftonite (ähnlich Vandoren V5) Rico Metalite (ähnlich Dukoff D Serie).

Ganz wichtig: Die Java fallen sehr leicht aus, deshalb grundsätzlich eine halbe Stärker mehr als sonst bestellen!
