Superb underrated mouthpiece

I bought this to go with my new Yamaha YAS62 and surprise, surprise it goes really well. Overall, I would say it is now one of my top 3 favourite mouthpieces and I own and have played on quite a few. It is similar in many ways to the Selmer S80, just not quite as good in response - but then it costs quite a bit less. It has a lovely clean, bright (but not shrill) tone and both the lowest and highest notes are achieved without difficulty. It is a little more resistant than the Selmer S80 C*, but you just need to try different reeds. I find Vandoren Blue 2 1/2 or Java Red 3's work best. Enjoy!

Fantastic upgrade from stock Buffet Mouthpiece which was truly awful or even a yamaha 4C which is a great student beginner mouthpiece but this...ah yes this Yamaha 6CM is fabulous
I'm using both D'Addario Jazz Selext 2H or Gonzalez local 627 strength 2 reeds
I bought this together with a D'Addario 5M but much prefer this
It's a keeper...very happy

Gut fürs erste Upgrade

Ich muss gestehen, ich habe nicht sehr lange auf diesem Mundstück gespielt, deswegen fällt es mir schwer, etwas zum Sound zu sagen. Zu dem Zeitpunkt hatte ich auch noch keine Ahnung, in welches Genre ich gehen würde.

Die Ansprache war super. 6er Bahnöffnung und eine lange offene Bahn. Etwas härtere Blätter lassen sich hier wunderbar spielen.
Die Verarbeitung ist auch super, keine Kratzer, sehr symetrisch.

Ich hatte mich für deses Mundstück entschieden, weil ich auf einem Yamaha 4C angefangen habe. Hier hat man eine grössere Öffnung und auch das bessere Material.

Für jemanden, dem eine 4er Öffnung schnell zu "klein" wird, kann ich dieses Mundstück empfehlen, bevor er sein liebling gefunden hat.

Un becco in ebanite (non plastica) che fà da base di partenza e come ottimo sostituto in casi di emergenza, quando pi si inizia ad usarne uno più "Pro".
L'apertura 6 consente (a mio parere) di rimanere nell'ambito di quelle usate con altri becchi più performanti, così da non avere troppo stacco nel caso dovesse essere utilizzato (ad esempio: se dovesse rompersi quello principale o dimenticato).
In conclusione un becco da avere sempre di riserva pronto all'uso.
