Expandable analogue control and output hub

The Arturia AudioFuse X8 OUT is a dedicated ADAT-to-analogue converter designed to expand monitoring, routing, and hardware control within hybrid studio environments. Housed in a compact half-rack format, it provides eight high-quality line outputs with high-quality 24-bit/96kHz DA conversion and wide dynamic range, integrating seamlessly with AudioFuse interfaces such as the AudioFuse Studio and 16Rig. Beyond standard audio routing, the DC-coupled outputs enable CV and gate signals to be generated from a DAW and sent to modular synths or CV-compatible gear, turning the interface into a versatile analogue control hub.

Precision conversion and voltage control

Each output delivers stable and detailed signal reproduction, with high headroom and professional output impedance supporting reliable integration with external processors, monitor systems, and modular rigs. The DC-coupled design supports audio and CV signals, enabling pitch sequencing, parameter modulation, and clock sync directly from a DAW. Word Clock input ensures accurate synchronisation within larger digital systems, while dual optical ADAT connectivity maintains full channel count at supported sample rates.

Flexible routing and real-world applications

The AudioFuse X8 OUT expands creative workflows by enabling complex routing scenarios without requiring additional audio interfaces. Extra outputs can drive immersive monitoring configurations, feed parallel hardware effects chains, distribute broadcast mixes, or control multiple synthesizer voices simultaneously. When paired with Arturia's AudioFuse 16Rig or other ADAT-equipped interfaces, the X8 integrates naturally into hybrid setups, allowing audio signals and CV data to coexist within a unified routing environment while maintaining hands-on system flexibility.

About Arturia

Arturia's success story began with software emulations of well-known analogue synthesizers such as the Moog Minimoog, Sequential Prophet-5, and Oberheim SEM. The popular software instruments included in the V Collection are still flagship products of the French developer today. Over time, Arturia has gradually expanded its range and now also offers a host of hardware devices, ranging from synthesizers and keyboard controllers to sequencers. Since then, the former software developer has thus also become a household name in the world of analogue synthesizers and other equipment.

AudioFuse Creative Suite

AudioFuse X8 OUT includes the AudioFuse Creative Suite, featuring a curated selection of Arturia effects inspired by classic studio hardware – such as Pre 1973, Pre V76, Pre TridA, Comp FET-76, Rev PLATE-140, Delay TAPE-201, Chorus JUN-6, Filter MINI, and Phaser BI-TRON – providing studio-quality tools that extend the unit's role from signal capture to full production workflows. Analog Lab Intro adds a curated collection of synthesizer, keyboard, orchestral and hybrid sound presets drawn from Arturia's renowned V Collection, providing immediate access to a wide palette of playable sounds. As bundled software may evolve, the manufacturer's website should be consulted for current details.

Fantastic, but could improve in places
Pad Mul 13.07.2025
The AudioFuse X8 allowed me to add 8 extra outputs to my system.
I have installed it in my live rack underneath my audio interface, connected via ADAT.

My only concern is the lack of consideration made by Arturia in relation to attaching the unit to a rack tray.

The only way to firmly secure the unit to a rack tray is by using the screwholes initially intended to hold the units rack system fixtures in place.
I attached the screws through the tray and into the unit, but the distance of these holes aren't universal by any means.

One i attached the rack ears (included with the product), there wasn't that much length on the ears to reach the rails of my 19" rack (accounting for the edges of the rack tray).
I understand that the rack system included by Arturia is intended to be used with the sibling AudioFuse product, however that is not applicable to me.
What I did was use cable tie around the rack ear and the screw-hole in the 19" rail to keep the unit in place on the tray.

Simple solid unit

Bought to drive surround speakers, was very easy to attach to my interface as an expander, sounded better and punchier than my old interface. Construction seemed very robust, and didn't take up to much space. Also came with a bunch of free software, which might be useful.

Top
