This is one hell of a heavy duty bag. The build quality is great, right off the box u'd feel like u've invested in the right product. I liked all the details and thoughts put behind the making of this unit.
Its got everything and more than you need, sure its bulky but your instruments will be safe once they are in.
The exterior is rugged with rubber on the base, the interior has got thick soft padding. ( Should have chosen a different interior colour, It will get dirty over time. )
The Acoustic compartment fits all size guitars and is easily acessable, the electric side is where i had little trouble with, again it could be because the bag is still fresh, time will tell.

Overall is a great giging bag with plenty of room to keep all the accessories. For anyone carrying multiple instruments for sessions, I'd highly recommend this one.
Gator is on its way there.

Solid double bag

I received the Gator bag few weeks ago.
I did several plane and train trips with it. It seems to me very solid (although it is not rigid) and it holds perfectly my telecaster and my Martin D35 dreadnought.
On a ryan air flight it was a bit too tall to fit in a normal extra seat but at the end the left it above the seat and it worked.
It is hevvier than a gig bag for a single guitar but the truth is that it is very confortable to be able to take only one bag instead of two.

Vielleicht vorab: Ich bin normalerweise kein Freund von Gig Bags - meine Schätzchen transportiere ich eigentlich lieber in stabilen Hardcases um sie optimal zu schützen.

Warum also sich so ein Gig Bag bestellen? Ganz einfach ich habe häufig eine A- und eine E-Gitarre auf Gigs dabei und kann tatsächlich einige Locations in denen ich spiele bequem zu Fuß erreichen - also schnell Amp, Kabellage & Effekte auf einen Handkarren gepackt, Gitarren auf den Rücken und los gehts.

Das Gig Bag kam super schnell bei mir an (Sonntag bestellt, Dienstag da... Fantastisch!! 1000 Dank an das Thomas Team dafür), so konnte ich es auch direkt 2 Tage später für den nächsten Gig nutzen.

Beim Auspacken dachte ich erst mal - wow ganz schön groß! Platzprobleme im Case wird es wohl nicht geben. Und genau so ist es. Ich bin meist mit einer PRS und einer Lakewood unterwegs - die passen locker rein und auch größere Gitarren würden für das Case kein Problem darstellen.
Das Case ist außerdem super verstärkt und gepolstert, so dass den Gitarren nix passieren kann. Insgesamt wirkt die Verarbeitung sehr hochwertig und selbst ich als Hard Case Fetischist vertraue meine Instrumente ohne Bauchschmerzen dem Gig Bag an. Die Halsauflagen lassen sich verstellen, so dass das Case auf die jeweilige Gitarrengröße angepasst werden kann.
Es gibt haufenweise zusätzlichen Stauraum und sogar eine gut gepolsterte Tablett Tasche ist mit verbaut - absolut klasse. Man bekommt alles unter was man so für die Gitarren braucht auf dem Gig: Kabel lassen sich sauber im Fach einsortieren über ein Klettband Kabelmanagement, Tablett habe ich schon erwähnt, es extra Fach für Papierkram, z.B: Set Listen, ein großes Fach am Kopfende für Ersatzsaiten und Werkzeug... da bleiben keine Wünsche offen.
Natürlich wiegt so ein Wunderkind ein wenig mehr als eine einfache Tasche. 2 Gitarren drin und dann hat man ordentlich Gewicht auf dem Rücken. Allerdings sind die Tragriemen angenehm ergonomisch gestaltet, so dass sich das Gewicht gut verteilt. Kleines Manko: Die Riemen werden sowohl oben als auch unten mit Karabinern befestigt. Oben führt dies dazu dass die Karabiner durchaus auch mal im Nacken drücken. Das hätte man mit einer kleinen Polsterung noch etwas angenehmer gestalten können, daher ein halber Stern Abzug beim Handling.

Extrem clever ist das eingebaute Raincape - und ja ich musste es auch gleich am Donnerstag testen, als ich auf dem Heimweg vom Gig in einen Platzregen kam. Fazit: Schnell ausgekramt und übergestülpt hält es sicher - auch bei starkem Gegenwind und das Case und Inhalt bleiben trocken. Das Zusammenfalten um es wieder ins vorgesehene Fach zu stopfen ist etwas kniffelig, da das Fach recht klein ist - dadurch entstehen bei schlechtem Falten doofe Wölbungen die sich auch ins Innere des Cases durchdrücken und auf die Kopfplatte wirken können - daher ein weiterer halber Stern Abzug im Handling.

Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Case zu dem Preis mega happy - man kann für Double Gig Bags auch deutlich über 300 ausgeben für die Luxus Varianten, aber diese hier ist absolut empfehlenswert und man kann damit eigentlich nix falsch machen.
