Just unbelievable
RoyMattblack 23.10.2024
I've been playing for well over 50 years and currently own several high-end guitars - Gibby LP, 2 x Fender Strats, a genuine Burns Marvin, PRS...
This HB is just mind boggling.
I'll be honest, I bought it purely on the looks, not expecting too much from a £160 guitar.
How wrong could I be!
First, the finish is better than my Gibby or my Strats. Only the Burns beats it there.
The sound is just amazing.
Also, the build quality is way up there with the best.
Now the gripes...
Loose, floppy dangling trem arm. No way to position it where you want it.
If you're using it in a solo, you either have to hold onto it all the time, or go 'looking' for it when you want it.
Then there's the knobs.
The entire guitar LOOKS like a mega-money instrument - except for the plastic bargain bin knobs.
Not a big deal though as I replaced them with polished chrome metal ones.
It now LOOKS like the guitar it is emulating.
I'm Suhr you know what I mean...
A superb instrument I'll be using A LOT!

G
Almost perfect!
Gabell 25.03.2025
The finish on the ST- Modern I received was as good as any guitar I have purchased in the last 50 years, including higher end Godin and G & L guitars, and with locking tuners and a split coil facility as standard inclusions, the value for money is excellent. The only, slight disappointment was the very slightly “ brittle” tone of the pickups when pushed with overdrive, but it still holds its own when compared to most of the Squier ranges, from the debut, sonic, affinity and almost on par with the classic vibe range at twice the price!. GB.

K
Amazed - This Instrument worth every penny
Kickstarter 11.06.2026
I was about to buy an entry level guitar from another brand, when a friend of mine who is a musician told me about the ST Modern from Harley Benton. He told me that all these features in the specific model can be found on guitars which worth more than 700 euros. I trusted him and place the order, when I took the parcel I was amazed by the quality (FBLB) the feeling and the sound. The finger board along with the strings feels like "butter" to me. The overall quality exceeded my expectations. The Flamed maple veneer was perfect, the sound is really good and the feeling is that, it is a perfect fit for me. The only thing I changed was the two stock knods I replaced them with with Harley Benton Parts T-Style Dome Knob BK and the guitar looks very nice. I would definitely recommend this guitar to everyone. Value for money for sure!!!

P
Una chitarra che vale la spesa
Peppefender 24.03.2026
