Flexibility and stability in one elegant package

The K&M 18820 Omega Black is a solid, steel-built keyboard stand that keeps things compact while still featuring full-sized circular floor protectors with built‑in levelling. These distinctive, unique feet give it noticeably more stability than most stands in the same price segment. With dual locking clamp screws, adjusting the height is at once quick and precise, and the support arms can be set to fit virtually any standard keyboard size. As an updated version of the 18810, this new stand's legs can also be folded up, making transport even easier. Like the original, the K&M 18820 Omega Black can be expanded to hold up to three tiers of boards without losing the stability that makes it so reliable. Matching piano stools are also available in the same design. With its clean, understated look, the Omega Black keyboard stand is an ideal choice for players who want their setup to offer both stability and flexibility.

The key to flexible keys

The K&M 18820 Omega Black isn't just sturdy, it's also very easy to adjust. Height changes are quick and straightforward thanks to the locking clamp screws, while the large support arms provide secure and reliable keyboard placement. With an adjustable height range of 600 to 1020mm, the stand is suitable for musicians who play sitting down, standing up, or a mixture of both. This makes it an excellent choice for players who work across different styles and settings – what's more, the floor‑friendly feet allow it to be used confidently on stage or in the studio. The adjustable arms ensure keyboards of any size will sit securely, easily handling even 88-key master keyboards, and a load capacity of up to 80kg – enough for absolutely any instrument bar the very heaviest vintage Rhodes – the Omega Black will work with any keyboard in a musician's collection.

Adjust to any situation

Thanks to its robust construction and the ability to adjust it individually on the fly, the K&M 18820 Omega Black will handle most tasks for musicians who use a single keyboard, even if they frequently switch between different instruments. However, with K&M's dedicated extensions for additional keyboard tiers or other devices, the Omega Black can easily grow with a beginner's growing collection, also offering plenty of creative freedom for professional players: The outstanding German build quality that K&M are famous for means the stand should both last for years and stand up to professional touring and travel. Certainly, the folding legs make it incredibly easy to transport and set up, with a shoulder strap included in the package that only adds to the convenience. Wherever it's used, its simple and stylish design allows the K&M 18820 Omega Black to blend effortlessly into any setting.

About K & M

Founded in 1949, König & Meyer (K&M) initially produced music stands and measuring tools. Just two years later, the range was expanded to include instrument stands and microphone tripods, which are still the core business of the manufacturer today – and are still manufactured in their facilities in Wertheim, Germany. K&M also produces musicians' stools, stands for speakers, monitors, and lighting, and a range of accessories for mobile devices, such as tablet mounts. To satisfy the company's own exacting standards, even the individual metal and plastic components continue to be manufactured primarily in the company's factory in Wertheim, with particular emphasis placed on environmentally friendly and sustainable production.

Quick to set up, quick to break down

Whether used in the recording studio, on stage, in the rehearsal room, or at home, this keyboard stand will impress all-comers with its stability and flexible range of applications. The clearly engraved height scale, and the set of cable clips it ships with for cable management, make it a practical and professional companion for musicians of all shapes and sizes. And because it's been cleverly designed to fold away almost flat, and weighs under 10kg, the K&M 18820 Omega Black is also easy to transport, with no tools needed for breakdown, so it's always well prepared for use in constantly changing locations. All these features make it an ideal solution for even the most demanding keyboard players.

Excellent with great accessories
Daugmented 04.11.2020
I use this stand with a Kawai ES8 and have two accessories attached to it: a tray (K&M 18819) for a 17' bulkish laptop (6kg) with extra space for a mouse (more space left) and a sheet holder (K&M 18805) I use for a 12.9' ipad pro (the magnetic back of the ipad works perfectly with the holder btw).

The stand takes all of this with no problem and is incredibly stable (I was worried that the ES8 would be too heavy for it). In fact I suspect that the size and weight of the ES8 contribute to the stability (as it sits perfectly on the holding arms).
There's a lot of leg space and it even came with useful velcro straps to tie all the cables, so the final setup is clean.

The accessories are also great. Everything was easy to assemble and with high quality parts (with lots of thought for little details). The adjustment and positioning of the accessories are also very flexible and with lots of extra potential with more accessories (like the second shelf and boom attachment).

I highly recommend this stand (especially with the accessories).

A great update to the legendry Omega stand
Alshamlan 13.01.2020
This is my third Omega stand, the previous two were the normal standard ones which were a bit of a pain to move around. With the 18820 K&M have really solved the problem of transporting this amazing stand. It is now much easier to fold the stand and tuck it in your car or (for mare safety) place it in the dedicated case which has enough room for the extension arms and some cables maybe... if you want! although being one of the heaviest stands I have owned, it is by far the best and most adjustable sturdy stand I have ever came across. Paying those extra euros to get the foldable one is truly worth it if you are planning to gig with/transport this stand. I also have the tray that you can place on the second tier arms and the tablet holder that are sold separately as extensions of this stand and they are perfect. Absolute German craftsmanship at its best.
Unless you're really on a budget, do not compromise! go for this. its worthy of every penny!

The best keyboard or stage piano support (solid as a rock and no wobble)
iG000 02.01.2023
I read many reviews before I selected this one.
Super stable, up to 80 kilos support, fine adjustments for height, lot of support for additional keyboards and equipment. If you like me are ordering for Native Instruments keyboards, do not forget to buy K&M 18827 because it will support your keyboard better.
This desk does not have any wobble while playing, I saw on reviews some people complains that have some wobble but this depends only on your floor. If you have hard floor and adjust feet (by turning them clock or counter clock wise) to be completely flat, there is no wobble at all.
I'm using it for NI S88 mk2 and NI S61 mk2.

DM
Great stand, wish was more portable
Donnie Mc 02.03.2022
A well designed and well built stand.

I didn’t give five stars because the design of the upper tiers requires you totally unscrew and remove, verses loosening and swinging down or away for transport. Already lost both washers in a dark room doing so.

And a better designed carry bag which would allow you to stack the stand would’ve been nice.

But the stand, when assembled, is German engineering at its finest, on display.

Just not as portable as they portray it as being
