Low-height adjustable mic stand

The K&M 25950 is an ultra-low microphone stand with an extendable swivel arm, ideal for flexible microphone placement on instruments positioned close to the floor, such as a drumkit's kick drum. Its sturdy tripod design ensures reliable use in both studio and stage settings, while its foldable construction allows for particularly space-saving transport. Built with durability in mind, this stand offers long-lasting reliability, making the K&M 25950 perfectly suited for years of professional use, whether in live performances or recording environments.

Secure adjustment via clamping sleeves

The removable swivel arm is mounted on a stand with a fixed height of 30.5cm and can be extended in two stages, offering a flexible length range from 42.5 to 72.5cm. All adjustments are securely locked in place using knurled plastic clamping screws and clamping sleeves, ensuring a stable setup during use. The swivel arm can be precisely positioned toward the sound source using a convenient handle, while a microphone can be attached at the end with an optional clip featuring a 3/8" thread connection, and for added practicality, the K&M 25950 includes a sleek black clip that manages the cable neatly, providing effective strain relief and a tidy appearance.

Flexible and reliable stand solution

This extremely low microphone stand is perfect for capturing sound sources positioned close to the floor, offering precise alignment through its swivel arm with a toggle clamp. Its solid base, supported by three heavy folding feet, ensures stability, while rubber ends on each foot provide a firm, non-slip grip on any surface. The K&M 25950 will prove to be a flexible and reliable solution for low-positioned miking needs, and its sleek black design keeps the stand discreet on stage, making it ideal for live performances where subtlety and functionality are key.

About K&M

Founded in 1949, König & Meyer (K&M) initially produced music stands and measuring tools. Just two years later, the range was expanded to include instrument stands and microphone tripods, which are still the core business of the manufacturer today – and are still manufactured in their facilities in Wertheim, Germany. K&M also produces musicians' stools, stands for speakers, monitors, and lighting, and a range of accessories for mobile devices, such as tablet mounts. To satisfy the company's own exacting standards, even the individual metal and plastic components continue to be manufactured primarily in the company's factory in Wertheim, with particular emphasis placed on environmentally friendly and sustainable production.

Successful miking of sound sources

The K&M 25950 is eminently suitable for miking instruments positioned close to the floor, such as the kick drum of a drumkit, where a dynamic microphone is recommended to handle the high sound pressure levels involved. To ensure the kick drum signal reaches the mixing console cleanly, it's advisable to use a gate with fast attack and decay times. The stand is also ideal for recording guitar amplifiers, where the microphone should be aimed toward the edge of the speaker cone to capture a well-balanced and articulate tone.

Super!

f you need a stand to fit in a tight spot and et down low to the ground - this is just the job. I use it to mic up my didgeridoo, and I love it so much I'm getting another. Can't get a better recommendation than that!

AF
Just what I needed. At a cost
Andy Fereday 06.10.2023
I've needed some sort of stand for my Boss EQ pedal so it's within easy reach without me having to kneel down on the floor to fiddle with the settings. I have tried one of the cheap ones but they couldn't cope with the weight of the tablet holder (which I use as a holder for the EQ 20) and the pedal itself. I've just set up this stand (combined with the counterweight) and it's perfect.

The whole thing moves easily and (with the counterweight) it's really well-balanced. The base is really sturdy and it's heavy, as the description states. There's not struggling to tighten anything up to cope with the weight of the pedal and its mount. Everything feels... right. It just works. It's not difficult to move, it's stable, nothing is loose, everything is... it's just right.

It wasn't cheap, but the quality you get with K&M is exceptional. When you figure the cost of the boom arm itself, it helps justify the outlay. The counterweight is a brilliant addition, but adds about another 25-30% on top of the initial outlay. Not cheap, but exactly what I needed.

Solid and HEAVY as a tank!
ivoi.iovi 21.12.2020
This feels like one of the best stands I ever used. The quality is superb, and the base is so heavy that this isn't going to go walking no matter how much the ground shakes!!!

totally solid and highly recommended, although not something for carrying around!

AK
Mic stand for my Bass drum
Alex Krvs 03.03.2021
So I got this, so I can have a nice mic stand for my bass drum.

I use it with K&M 19695-300 Ball joint, which allows me to have my stand parallel to my drum kit and my microphone looking directly on my bass drum saving space.

It feels really solid and the base feels heavy, in comparison to the size of it, making it a really stable mic stand.

I use it for a Se electronics T2 microphone, and it really took my zero effort to position it and lock it to place.

It was an excellent choice for my studio
