K&M Heli 2 Cork Acoustic

I find this unit protects my acoustics well when I have them out to play. It coddles the instruments well and I prefer the cork finish.

It looks attractive and is stable, but not as much as a few other uglier alternatives. Nevertheless, since I only use it for a guitar I have out to play, it suits me well.

As always, K&M seems both well designed and engineered AND well finished, which fits our home environment.

I have two of these and am about to purchase a third to keep in my gig bag for use on the stage. Light weight, very solid, and portable. I use it for my openback banjo. The cork is very grippy and after 3 years it has not harmed my precious banjo whatsoever. The cork itself has been marred slightly, from the brackets on my heavy banjo coming into contact with it, but I'm fine with that as long as my banjo is unharmed. When I first purchased this, I was wary of how long the cork would hold up. It is mixed with a rubber material, and it is highly durable. Recommended.

Although I gave it full score, there is one downside that is strong, chemical-like scent (it's not natural cork but rubbery compound). After a couple of weeks it is still there, although markedly weaker. As a stand it works very fine.

I love these stands so much that I replaced all of my guitar stands with these. They're solid, sturdy, and they look great. Surprisingly I've had comments about how great they look, people ignore the guitars stood in them.

Very nice stand and soft material so guitar will not be damaged. Nice that you get 2 free plectrums with it. I only hope that the material won't dry out over the years.. Seems like material that will disintegrates after multiple years...

Looks really good, stands firmly and holds everything I throw at it - either one of my acoustics, even if it is tucked away in a soft guitar case. A nice feature is that it even has two guitar pick holders (Yeah, it also came with a couple of free picks).
The cork material is not the usual soft-ish cork though, but rather a more firm-rubbery.
In my opinion, good value for the price.
