PYRAMID Maximum Performance Electric Guitar Pure Nickel Round Wire Strings are specially designed for vintage guitars. By using thinner core wires and stronger pure nickel spun wires, these strings get somewhat weaker tension. The result is a great feel and perfectly balanced strings with remarkable tone and timbre. The individual strings are finished on the ball with a coloured artificial silk.

I am new to these strings. I bought several similar brands for experimentation. This particular brand has a superb quality of tone and a very comfortable reduced tension feel. I have been playing for a long time and I can remember the tone-fullness and relaxed feeling of strings prior to the hex-core change-over. They will also be good for players with finger and wrist joint issues - perhaps you won't have to tune down! This also means they may not be perfectly suited to some modern-harder styles.
For me though, this is like re-finding a dear long lost friend.

Great strings

Used to play D' Addario Pure Nickel and i was very pleased with them but just for a change i decide to try these. The sound is warm and balanced, definitely on the vintage side. Bends are easily made but not with a loose feeling. Hold tune very well. The only thing to find out is for how long are gonna maintain the tone, but only time can tell. First impressions, very good!

Finally found

I've tested this mounted at the same time with others with the same specs of other brands, some famous ones, in my guitar to check and compare how they stood to corrosion, bending and resistance to my steel pickup and won't search anymore. These are the strings for me. Give them an opportunity, you'll get a wonderful surprise.

Lovely, warm sounding strings.

I love these strings with Strats. The pure nickle warmth is a perfect match for the glassy sounding Strat single coils. The output will be slightly lower than with steel or nickle plated steel but I have no problems with that.

I find them a bit muddy for P90s or humbuckers though.
