I've been wanting one of these ever since I started doing audio. One of my teachers in audio school had one of these and spoke very highly of it.
I looked at other interfaces over the years but this one kept coming up as my preferred option.
Once my trusty Saffire pro 24 started showing age and I felt the need for some more inputs I went for it.
Painfull in the wallet but well worth it, comparing it to other interfaces you get a lot for your money.
Super clean pres with boatloads of headroom, plenty of ins and outs and built like a tank.
Support is just as great as focusrite's and Totalmix is just a pleasure to work with.
I love the little screen on the front so I can check my levels instantly and the autoset function has proven to be super usefull when the artist's dynamics are all over the place.
The onboard effects are very nice and are a big upgrade compared to my previous interface. My monitor mixes are way better now.

For professional quality I would turn nowhere else

I have actually purchased a second one of these as the first has been so good.
For professional quality with regards to signal and hardware robustness it has not faulted me.
One note of caution. If installing drivers and software on mac be aware that after the machine reboots the software must be authorized in System Preferences > Security. This isn't stated in the RME documentation and initially caused us some confusion.

Incredibly good!

Compared to my old Focusrite Scarlet, I get less than half of the latency at the same buffer sizes, meaning I can use larger buffer sizes than with Focusrite for better VST performance while keeping latency low enough. RME's custom USB driver provides near-thunderbold performance over USB 2, which is impressive.
The UFX II has gotten ALL features of the UFX III added via driver and firmware updates during the last year. Even their decade-old discontinued interfaces continue to get all improvements that their hardware can physically handle. This level of long-term dedication to supporting and improving old hardware is why I won't use non-RME interfaces going forward. Other brands tend to have the attitude that their hardware's feature sets should be locked to what it was at release day and never backport any features, just bugfixes.
The UFX II has also gotten "secret" hardware revisions since its release, adding SteadyClock FS and improved components so if you buy a new (revision 7) UFX II today you pretty much get a UFX III without MADI support.
