Perfect Keyboard

I use the keyboard at home, playing from time to time as a hobby, composing some songs.

The keys are amazing, compared to similar keyboards with more techie features. This is the deal actually, with that one you don't have all the features that other models might have, but at least you have decent keys to play. It's not close to piano keys, but the feelings is very nice.

I don't have any negative to say. People might say that you need to spend some time to program it as a negative thing. Well, in my case I don't need that much of a hacks. I just need to plug and play. Easy stuff like volume, velocity etc are super easy to be adjusted, so for normal use it's 100% perfect.

Good quality, nice looking, but functionally limited

Well, let me start by saying that this is a beautiful keyboard. In my opinion, it looks among others in its price range.

And the build quality is quite good. I compared it to numerous competitors that all turned out be inferior (some keyboards feel excessively plastic, or the keys produced an unpleasant mechanical squeaky sound of the springs inside). None of the sort with this one.

First, I thought it could not be used (powered) without a computer. A year or so later I found the way to power it up from a USB power supply (a feature not documented in the user manual). For those who want to know, you have to press and hold Pitch+Assign keys before you plug in the USB cable (some sources suggest pressing Function+Assign+Pitch, but I saw no difference).

All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the product after I found the way to use it in the the stand-alone (w/o PC) mode.

Très bon (petit) clavier maître !

Le Roland A-49 un clavier maître de 49 touches, avec une vélocité réglable (plusieurs modes possibles) mais n'ayant pas d'aftertouch. La qualité du toucher du clavier est vraiment remarquable : le toucher est léger mais reste quand même légèrement ferme.
On voit qu'on a à faire à du matériel de qualité professionnelle !! C'est du Roland !!
Côté utilisation, il est équipé de 2 switchs (S1 & S2) qui sont entièrement assignables, ainsi que 2 potentiomètres (C1 & C2) eux aussi programmables. Se rajoutent à ceux-là la fonction Transpose et Octave - ou + qui peut s'avérer intéressante lorsqu'on utilise par exemple une sonorité de piano, afin d'avoir une plus grande tessiture de jeu.
La fonction D-Beam est également très intéressante pour l'utilisation d'instruments solistes (ex: trompette ou flute) : on peut contrôler le volume et ainsi donner plus de réalisme au son.
Le faible poids de l'instrument ainsi que son faible encombrement en font un clavier idéal pour l'informatique musicale, d'autant plus qu'il alimenté directement via la prise USB.
Dans l'ensemble, Roland signe là un très bel outil pour la création musicale, avec un rapport qualité prix/ justifié (il y a moins cher, mais c'est sans doute moins bien !!).
Concernant THOMANN, c'est que du bonheur pour une première commande : clavier commandé le lundi et livré le mercredi par UPS, dans un bel (et solide !!) emballage !!
