Overall good value. I had a small problem fitting it to my 1950s Levin mandolin because of the size of the sound hole - I had to add an extra support in order to install the pickup in the ideal position and height, but once installed it sounded great through my AC30 amp.....
Certainly not the most expensive pickup, but more than adequate for my needs....

I cut the jack socket off and added volume + tone pots. Over all I was happy with the outcome. More importantly my customer was very happy. To quote "It sounds f*****g great mate". Can't argue with that. Thanks also to the Thomann guy's for the speedy delivery.

Great value for money pickup

Fitting very straightforward. Just a slight mod needed on the end of the fretboard. I had already fitted an endpin jack and soldered to that. Works well straight into amp but better with preamp pedal. Very resistant to feedback compared to any soundboard mounted sensors. My only issue is my pick hitting it due to its placement.

mon évaluation est biaisée car je l'ai testé sur un dulcimer !
le dulcimer a toutes ses cordes à la même hauteur. la plupart des mandolines aussi. mais pas les mêmes cordes.
le son est top, vraiment, mais un peu déséquilibré sur mon dulci. ma corde du milieu est plus forte que ma corde aigue. mais peut-être que sur une vraie mandoline ce n'est pas le cas.
autre chose, le niveau de sortie est faible. il faut bien booster. et ne pas mettre le micro trop loin des cordes (ils disent 3 mm, ils ont raison). heureusement le niveau de bruits de fond est vraiment bas. on peut booster.
ça reste néanmoins un micro magnétique (type guitare électrique), donc pour la scène il peut être bien de faire comme pour les guitares électriques : un petit fil reliant le cordier à la masse. et là on est vraiment dans un silence absolu et très étonnant.
j'aurais plutôt tendance à recommander ce micro, très léger, propre et pas cher.
