Excellent for my SM58

This was a big warm upgrade to my humble sm58 mic. With an SSL2+ audio interface, I only need about 40% of the gain I was using without this preamp. Plus, the sound is warmer, richer lower/mids. Less flat.

Nice clean gain boost, the transformer adds 'character' to my inexpensive dynamic mics. For reference I am using with an SE V3, Rode Podmic and SE DCM3.

I can use the aforementioned mics, with a far lower noise floor and the fethead gives a different sound- hard to explain as it's very subjective and I'm not an audio engineer.

Great lifter. Massive boost in clean volume, but probably unnecessary for most applications if you already have a half decent preamp.

L'ustensile qui manquait à mon Zoom H4nPro!!!
Jusque-là, quand je branchais un micro extérieur (micro dynamique simple ou micro-cravate) il y avait à la fois une déperdition de son, et un bruit de souffle ajouté: victoire! Ces deux problèmes sont maintenant résolus, je suis ravie ;-)
Mini bémol: impression de forcer un peu pour l'insérer.
