Very good within the price point but not optimal
I'm always cutting 1 khz and sibilance frequencies (3-7khz) with my voice.
These last days I've been using it in figure 8 pattern to increase the body of my voice, as you know different polar patterns exhibit different frequency responses.
The self noise is the big nope for me. If you want studio quality you gonna spend a lot of time with noise reduction plugins.
I'm going to upgrade to the Rode NT1, good bye self noise and harsh frequencies.

Great Value Mic For Your Money!
I bought this microphone in order to begin recording a few demos from home, as well as for work on a solo album I'd intended on working on at the time, and considering the price I really wasn't expecting much at all, after previously having used the likes of Sennheiser and SE Electronics in the studio, however I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product, featuring all the polar pattern switches and other goodies that I was used to on the more expensive large diaphragm condensers I've used (for example, the SE Electronics 2200a).
The sound quality from this mic is incredible for backing vocals and acoustic guitars considering it's price. I find that for lead vocals it sounds a bit thin, but a spot of editing in Pro Tools or double tracking usual fixes that problem.
The enclosure is sufficiently robust, I've had it for a year or two now, and it's still in pristine condition, though I doubt it would survive too much abuse if not looked after properly. I would (and have) recommend it to anybody looking to start recording from home, it's a really great mic for so few of your hard earned pennies!
