Very happy but its a pickup
Anonymous 22.10.2016
I have nothing to criticise. This a a great valuie convenient pickup. I used it on a wood EUB as the built in pickup was terrible. I also used it once on a proper Upright Bass.

The sound is not ideally reflecting the original wood sound from the bass but this is because it is a pickup not because the product is no good. It is reeaaly good!
I should have bought a condenser microphone and I think this is what I will do in the future.

Good quality sound, but low output level
HarperJ 29.12.2020
Output quality is good, but the level is low - I resolved this with an EQ / pre-amp bass guitar pedal. Not a problem, but could be an unexpected expense if you're not expecting it.
The pickup is relatively robust. I was having other work done to the bridge by my luthier so he fitted it at the same time - taking account of the approx. 1mm thickness.

Amazing pickup
Jose8462 18.09.2015
Let me start by saying that I believe all piezzos are bad.
My old full circle was giving me some problems so I just bought this one for a fast replacement.
Although it is quick and easy to install I needed a reset on my bridge because it was not making a perfect contact with the pickup so it rattle in some notes causing a very nasty noise when amplified, similar to an electronic distortion.
Once sorted, what a beautiful sound, couldn't be much happier, it is much close to the real sound of my bass than the full circle as ever been.
What more can I ask, it's "cheap", easy to install and remove whenever you want and with a great sound.

Realistic & clear sounding

Impressive sounding pickup, very easy to install (as long as you have bridge adjusters!!). Seems pretty durable and mounts to string ball-end. Definitely an improvement on the Shadow range which I used before.
