Clean and transparent compression!

Got this to build my 500 series recording chain. I initially had a Chandler TG Opto-500 but god, that unit added serious weight to my 500 rack. Trying to bring it around is a workout. In the end, i took it out and put it into my main 500 rack while I was hunting around for another compressor to do the job.

I already have elysia's xFilter (rack) and Xpressor 500 and I know how their quality stands, so getting the mpressor was a no-brainer. It just works, the compression is clean and transparent but it can get snappy or squashy if you want it to. At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with this if you're looking for something clean and transparent.

Fabulously versatile

The impressor is a one-of-a-kind comressor. Not only can it do regular compression with utmost ease, it also does negative ratios, has an extremely useful gain reduction limiter, and features an anti-log release curve. Yes, you can find this on other compressors too, but very rarely in the same package. The impressor can be your workhorse but where it really shines is as a sound design tool. Smooth, pump or weird? This is your weapon of choice.

My only criticism is that the board is a couple of mms too short, so that you have to be careful when slotting it in. It does just about make good enough contact with the connector on the Bento, but if your rack is out of spec from back to front you will have to check.

It's too late to know thomann!

It used to be that I bought audio equipment on domestic comprehensive websites. Either the price is not very affordable, or some products are not sold. This shopping in torman is very happy. Although the equipment has not been received yet, it has been shown in terms of logistics to China.

What happened?
