EMG T System Black

I just fitted this system in a Fender Player Telecaster. Lovely guitar to play, and the stock pick-ups had a good sound, but they lacked impact for me. The EMG pickups deliver more warmth and clarity in the neck and retain the Tele twang in the bridge and split positions, but with higher output. I’m getting approx 6dB more out of the guitar with the EMGs over the stock pickups. Super easy to install, only caveat in the Player Telecaster was I had to route out the tone / volume pot cavity a little deeper with a wood chisel to fit the battery in, but with the right tool it doesn’t take long and it’s easy enough to do.

Assembling itself takes about half an hour. Depending on your tele design, you might need to carve about 0,5 cm space on the side underneath a control plate for the battery & its cable to fit in. I'm a noob for electronics and I've installed the T-system on my favorite japanese tele with messed up electronics, thinking what could go wrong.
Nothing went wrong.
Besides, I play left handed. So everything works flawlessly upside-down.
Once you're done setting the bridge back, re-stringing and adjusting the pickup height, pay attention to how articulate your instrument becomes.
Plus, it's noiseless and dead quiet altogether. Ready for gigging in all the funny places or recording in front of your favorite amp sim.
Whoever says active pickups (and these are my first, btw) lack character is probably a characterless player himself.

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich in einem bekannten Eigenbaushop einen Telecasterbausatz erworben. Ich hatte zunächst einen Satz Wilkinsons verbaut deren Sound mir aber ganz und gar nicht gefiel. Zudem war ich mit der Qualität der Schaltereinheit unzufrieden.
Die Gitarre gefiel mir aber so gut, das ich sie nicht ungenutzt lassen wollte. Nach einigem hin und her überlegen habe ich den hier vorgestellten Satz EMPs geordert. Ich habe es nicht bereut.

Der komplette Satz ist auf höchstem Niveau verarbeitet. Die Stecker sind super. Die Kabel passen genau, sind weder zu lang noch zu kurz. Nur die Batterie erforderte etwas nachfräßen im Panelschacht. Der Sound ist sensationell. Vielleicht nicht echt Texas, aber echt EMP. Die beiden Pickups sind erstaunlich vielseitig und kräftig im Sound. Das ist der Hammer und macht richtig Spass. Egal ob am Vox VT40 oder meinem kleinen Röhren V5 mit Jensen Box. Meinen Bausatz werten die beiden Singles richtig auf und die Technik funktioniert ohne Störung. Genauso habe ich es mir gewünscht. Wem die Löterei zu blöd ist, wert auf Sound und Qualität legt liegt hier absolut richtig. Ansonsten wie immer. Bestellt, nach zwei Tagen da.
