Excellent guitar - would recommend!
The Jordanator 06.10.2020
For quick reference, I love this guitar and would highly recommend to anyone who plays electric guitar.

I purchased this with the intention of using as a "studio guitar". I mostly play heavy metal and my style typically includes lots of galloping riffs and soloing.

Guitar is well made, all hardware is installed correctly and the set up is excellent. No blemishes in the finish whatsoever (I checked every inch, all along the bindings, inlays etc.) and the appearances are unparalleled. The see through black finish is exceptionally beautiful both on the quilted maple top and on the mahogany body. Surprisingly lightweight for a mahogany body.

Excellent playability, very comfortable to play both sitting and standing. Neck has an awesome feel and is quite thin, which may put some people off who prefer a fatter neck. There's no annoying elbow where the neck meets the body and makes soloing uncomfortable.

Obviously this is aimed at a more extreme audience given the high output EMG pickups. In all honesty they're probably the only thing I'm not 100% sold on with this guitar. Don't get me wrong, they sound great but I might swap them out for duncans or fishmans. Again, this is just personal preference and I'm still on the fence especially as the brushed black chrome finish on the EMGs looks amazing.

To conclude, I have zero regrets and don't think you could do much better than this!

Just what I was looking for

Great guitar, great price.

Using it to practice and record which is why I particularly enjoy the EMG active pickups. Very powerful and it's easy to push the sound through the mix with them. The guitar feels strong and fast, especially with a set of 11's in standard D tuning or drop C. Awesome for metal :) Locking tuners work great as well. I like playing standing up so it's important to note that this guitar has a good balance with a strap, not nose heavy at all. String action is great but I lowered it at the bridge by just a quarter of a turn on both ends

The only couple of not so great things I can mention (really nothing special at all) is that one of the machine heads was a tiny bit loose (fixed in a couple of seconds) and that the battery cover is super difficult to pry open. You have to be very careful and use plastic pry tools to not get scratches.

All in all, if you like metal, super powerful sound and great feel, this is a guitar for you!

Used for metal personally and recording pop music for clients. Not sure about blues tunes because EMGs. These are VERY high output and very crisp, they clip the input of my kemper which none of my other guitars do.
In its price range, this guitar is probably among the best, well worth the money, and an absolute bargain when discounted.
Frets are done well, zero sharp edges, locking tuners are a big plus, nut width feels closer to 43mm, neck is a very comfortable thin C, heel joint is ultra comfortable, the craftmanship and hardware are worth this price alone. It was out of tune because it's December but tuning it up revealed that the string height and intonation were set up PERFECTLY (big thumbs up, thomann). Cosmetics are not perfect but they are very good - the binding has a few wiggly lines, and the quilted maple top is not the best looking piece out there, but these are really minor things. Playability and sound are absolutely amazing, better sounding here than the same EMG 81 I had in EC1000. Handles both standard and lower tunings well. People, please avoid the MH2015 (fat body with a REALLY fat neck; that guitar is nothing like the MH series) and buy this one instead, or even MH401. Overall I'm really happy with this guitar.

T
A very good choice!
Tzar_Nikolai 20.11.2020
Hello fellow musicians! The ESP LTD NH-1001NT with EMG pickups, is a very good instrument for metal and high gain shredd. Very stable guitar that almost never goes out of tune. It is good for playing in drop D and other types of low tuning, it sounds and it holds well in that regard. Minor and completely negligable visual negatives and by that I do not mean defects or anything. The guitar looks great but it simply isn't its bigger brother the ESP where huge attention to looks and visual details is given. The nice and comfortable neck of the guitar, with its 24 frets alows for fast playing. Those 24 frets made the practice of scales very different and interesting for me. Not the cheapest Ltd guitar but it has good quality coresponding to the price level. This guitar for me was my first step into the world of active pickups. I will definitely keep it in my guitar collection.
