Great reheasal tool, a little too light and small for gigs
kxszander 24.03.2018
This is a great unit for running directly into a clean platform amp. When running it into an FRFR-speaker, it needs an IR-loader or an amp sim/DI-box; otherwise, it produces that very metallic sound (even though supposedly, the unit contains an amp sim on the headphones out).
The small footprint is really cool; tweaking the controls might necessitate a good pair of reading glasses for older players.
The lay-out and order of the effects and controls is very intuitive.
The switch from manual to preset operation is easy.
The tuner is easily activated and quite precise.
The effects, delay and reverb sections are versatile and very usable and the sound quality of those effects is ok.
The overdrive and distortion are quite tweakable and quite pleasant-sounding.
Soundwise, I do not like the on/off boost at all. It is pretty unusable as an overall volume boost for solos due to colloration, and as an pre-OD-boost, it clutters up the signal too much.
In my opinion, the unit doesn't play all that well with external pedals.
The power consumption (±300 mA) is so massive, that it doesn't work with additional pedals on standard multi-power supplies.
A real contender for the Tech-21 Fly Rig series or the NuX Cerberus, with some notable advantages in terms of features; soundwise, maybe not as strong as the aforementioned units.
A very cool unit for rehearsal purposes; maybe just a little too lightweight for real live-applications.

C
So many sounds and variety of tones in a hand device
Cc.Dada 24.01.2021
I use Red Truck with a Harley Benton SC Custom II and an Orange Crush 35 RT amplifier. I'm a beginner and struggling to play right and create clear tones. I preferred 4 way cable connection method between the amp and Mooer Red Truck, so there are so many cables in a small space and there is some noise when i don't play. This may be solved by some little noice killer devices no matter. There's no problem with the build quality, it's so sturdy and well designed.

It's hard to define the tones created in overdrive and distortion circuits. Warm or wooly? Depends on your playing technique and the all the settings on your gear but i can say Red Truck is a strong device with full of potential tones. Pure boost and mid boost are extras for a budget device.

Shimmer on Reverb pedal is strange and so brilliant. Digital effect channels have real depth and nice feedback.

Pros- Affordable, simple to use, has lots of warm tones for a nice ambient
Cons- Knobs are very sensitive, has a great potential to create wooly and weird ambient for an amateur

I'm just a beginner and this is my first pedal, i preferred to buy Red Truck because building a pedalboard and synchronising all pedals to create a good sound seemed me difficult. Red Truck is a good solution to get commonly used pedals in one compact and pretty light chassis.

And it sounds good.

Nice product
Ian Doherty 21.08.2017
The reverb is as good as what's in my Blackstar Studio HT40, the mod and delay are ok but the analogue drive and distortion come to life using the 4 way cable method and going through the amps drive channel. Will use this for live gigs instead of my Carl Martin Quattro.
Overall a nice piece of kit, it won't be to everybody's taste , but the price will be it's biggest selling point.

Quality in line with price
Heiky 13.01.2020
The feel and look of this multi-effect pedal is more than good.
I hoped for a pleasant surprise in sound, especially on the analog side of the effect (Boost, drive and OD)......but was disappointed that it hadn't the bones i was looking for.
The sound is thin and lack the finesse to my ears
The modulation and delay are of good quality and is in line with the expectations.
The tuner is a nice extra, but not accurate enough.
The Mooer RedTrucks operations is very simple and intuitive
