J’ai tenté sans savoir vraiment à quoi m’attendre. Le micro est moins puissant que prévu. Du coup il est réglé bien plus haut que les autres. Il a beaucoup d’aigu. Il est donc connecté au tone de la strat US réglé à 8 pour compenser un peu.
Ca part mal ? Ben non, en fait c’est super tant en clair qu’en saturé. Tone à 6 j’ai le son d’Eric Johnson dans Cliffs of Dover !

Ik wilde mijn strat weer laten klinken als een echte strat. Ik had jaren gespeeld met Seymour Duncan Jb jr. pickups, totaal anders, ook goed overigens, maar ik wilde weer terug naar het meer traditionele stratgeluid. Eerst had ik Fender vintage 1959 pickups erin gezet daarvoor. Deze klonken erg mooi (vooral clean), maar missen nogal wat kracht voor een beetje een stevige lead-toon. Toen ben ik verder gaan zoeken en kwam ik op deze. Ik moet zeggen, ik ben in tijden niet zo enthousiast geweest over een pickup. Erg mooie sound. Nadat ik deze had gekocht had ik daarom ook de neck-versie gekocht, ook geweldig. Duidelijk meer output en wat steviger dan de vintage 1959 pickups. En de pickup zorgt inderdaad ook lekker voor die "grid", wat ook in de naam zit. Ik zou niet weten hoe ik dat anders zou moeten omschrijven.

Als enige punt zou ik zeggen, voor mij mag die nog net iets meer body hebben, vooral als ik hoge noten speel zo na de 15e fret. Maar goed, dat is een kleinigheid. Ik laat deze er voorlopig lekker in zitten.

Strat,back to the Roots war mein Gedanke.Also in meinem Fall von HSS zurück auf Standart.Wer seine Strat liebt,baut da eigentlich auch keinen Humbucker rein.Also kommt wieder ein Single Coil in frage,der aber etwas mehr Punch haben sollte.1.Versuch macht Kluch...2.Aber auch nicht Reicher.3.Er soll zu den anderen passen.Meine anderen sind,Pribora Hot Custom.Beide ca 6 k/ohm.Was im Grunde genommen gar nichts aussagt.Nach etwas recherche sollte es dieser werden.(Budget Single Coil?)59 EUR sind auch Geld...Einbau,Anzocken und Überraschung.Ein Pickup der schon von alleine Zerrt bzw Knurrt.Man muss es halt mögen.I love it.Meine liebste Strat anscheinend auch.
Fazit:Man kann natürch wie immer mehr Geld ausgeben und sich blöde suchen,um letzden endes den richtigen für sich zu finden.Wenn die Strat noch Strat bleiben soll,mit ein wenig mehr Dreck...und Rotz dann wäre dieser Pickup sicher meine empfehlung.Natürlich subjektiv.
