I have a few Harley Benton guitars so I know what to expect, but this ST-80FR is another level up. This is my first Floyd Rose guitar, and I was looking for a style that I would feel comfortable with, and this delivers so much and more.
The sound from the Tesla pickups is clean, crisp and delivers on the tonal range I expect. The Floyd Rose does take a bit to get used to, but I was a newbie to it, but I am now comfortable with it and the ST-80 made getting to know it easy. I love the sparkle burst finish, and if you are wondering about green, it really does look great.
In fact my son loved my ST-80 so much he bought one for himself, so that should say a lot about whether you shoudl consider it. I would definately recommend it, the finish, sound and overall playability is really good!
