An absolutely monster of a bass!!

First and foremost, my thanks to Thomann for their excellent sales and customer service. This bass is a must for anyone dipping their toes into the fretless world. The feel of the neck is simply a total pleasure to play, with the beautiful C style, where you don't feel the edge of the fret wire. The ebony fretboard is so so smooth, and your fingers just glide over it like a figure skater would on ice.

The combination of the flatwound strings, and the ebony fretboard, just creates a whole new sweet melodic voice, that allows you to bring out the most awesome ornamentation while playing.

Now on to the most frustrating part.... Which is.... I can't bring it out on the road because there are no gigs at present, Aarrrgghh!!

I'm running out of room in my music room, due to the amount of basses, (All purchased on Thomann I might add) but I feel compelled to also purchase the fretted version of the V7, and will do so in the new year.

Marcus Miller and Sire guitars, make a great team!!

Pros: 100% killer bass!!

Nice instrument but so far lacking the classic mwaah sound of fretless

Hi there, just purchased my first fretless bass, and not sure if it is this model, the strings or the setup made at Thomann (yes, I paid to have it setup before arrival) but the sound is great, playability is great but so far it is lacking the strong mwaaaah sound of fretless. Not sure why, still have to experiment. Using plain sound no pedals or anything. But another Stagg fretless I've tried in a store (plain wood no polymer coating finish over the wood like in this Sire) had the mwaaah sound right there without even an amplifier connected.

Sound of the 5-th B string is powerful! And great playability.

My $0.2 on this just arrived bass. Otherwise a very nice instrument.

This bass delivers exceptional sound quality, tactile satisfaction, and remarkable affordability. I've been using it for four years now and couldn't be happier. The fretboard is as smooth as butter, providing a heavenly playing experience, while the pickups yield an incredible, rich, and deep sound.

The only drawback is its weight; it's noticeably heavier than my other Marcus Miller V7 5-string (fretted), which may be a consideration if you plan to use it standing for extended periods.

In conclusion, its superb build quality and killer sound make it a highly recommended choice!

Une magnifique basse fretless 5 cordes

La première fretless, et la première 5 cordes pour moi également. J'ai déjà une Squier 4 cordes et une Aria acoustique (4 cordes également) et ce nouvel achat (enfin il y a déjà 4 mois) est parfait pour commencer à me positionner correctement, à la fois pour l'arrière de la main pour une 5 cordes, et sur le manche pour une fretless. Super son active en répèt, elle a bien remplacé la "régulière", avec un supplément de profondeur...
