Sound powerhouse

I can't fault the latest Kemper Profiler, it's everything I want in a 'sound engine' for guitar and bass.
The mark 2 boots up much quicker and is more responsive on the controls than the mk1.
Mk2 also have some great doubling effects for distorted stereo guitar.

K
An insult to customers and not how you do products in 2026
KarlLerche 24.03.2026
Kemper seem to have delivered with the "MKII" basically a mild revision of MKI that presses them into buying the "new" device for V2 profiling capbility. THe sad reality is that Kemper did not invest neither inproperly upgraded hardware, nor into a new and contemporary capture technology. They rehashed the same old approach which is years behind ToneX, NAM and Quad Cortex or even Ampero and others that have popped up since. They made the V2 profiles even more shrill sounding - they still lack a vast range of the frequencies from the reference tones and no amount of tweaking of the many parameters will bring you a tone anywehre close as good as ToneX, NAM, Cortex.

I feel insulted as a customer who owns the MKI, Player and now the MKII. This update could have been an email, literally. Anyone who thinks this is a good deal in 2026 needs to check out the competition, including ToneX ONE at 150 EUR - light years ahead of Kemper in sound quality.

The marketing claums they made before v2 profiling - it will be the most authentic and accurate yet and ever, etc. - it is all just emoty imaginary word salad. It is by far and clearly the tail light of the capturing tech at this point and still sounds like slightly different take on a 15 year old technology.

I feel for the customers who have spent their money here.

This is not how you do products in 2026, Kemper - for me this is where our roads split, GOODBYE, as your 15 year old screen that has not been updated on the MKII says!

MS
Auf weitere 10 Jahre
Markus Schumacher 19.10.2025

Warum also kaufen?
