Purchased for use in lowkey live musical performance recordings in the field, capturing audio for video, where use of a full-size boom would be impractical. For use with Rode NTG1 microphone.

I've only just received the item but it seems very sturdy and practical for my needs,

The microphone mounting brackets can be installed at different points on top of the handle depending on the length of microphone you're using.

The large fastening knob allows easy alteration of the angle at which the microphone is orientated relative to your hand.

There are convenient grooves in the handle to feed your cable through, keeping everything tidy.

There is a thread in the bottom of the handle allowing you to quickly and easily mount it on to a Boom pole if the need arises.

All in all a very practical little piece of kit as far as I'm concerned. Would recommend.

Guter günstiger Handgriff mit leichten Einschränkungen

Der Griff ist sehr leicht, besonders verglichen mit meinem alten K-Tek Handgrip aus Metall. Das verwendete Plastik wirkt aber trotzdem hochwertig und stabil. Die Schwinghalterung funktioniert gut und kann an unterschiedlich lange Mikrofone angepasst werden (das benötigte Werkzeug wird mitgeliefert).

Ganz wichtig: Der Kragen über dem Handgriff erlaubt ein lockeres, unverkrampftes Halten mit Daumen und Zeigefinger für minimale Griffgeräusche.

Der Neigungswinkel ist bei Bedarf schnell justiert. Die Zugentlastung mit Klemme und der Kabeltunnel für unterschiedlich dicke Kabel sind clever durchdacht, auch der Stativanschluss unter dem Griff ist ein großer Pluspunkt.

Richtrohr-Mikrofone mit längerem "Körper" wie das Rode NTG4+ oder Rode NTG2 lassen sich mit dem Aufsteck-Fellwindschutz WS6 problemlos verwenden, da sie durch den eingebauten Akku bzw. den längeren Batteriegriff genug Angriffsfläche für die Schwinghalterungen bieten.

Beim Rode NTG3 oder einem Sennheiser MKH416 hingegen wird der verfügbare Platz auf dem Mikrofon zum Anbringen der Klemmen der Schwinghalterung zu knapp, wenn man gleichzeitig einen Windschutz wie den WS7 oder einen Rycote Softie verwendet. Dann stößt bei Bewegungen schnell mal der "Kragen" des Windschutzes an die Halterung oder man muss den XLR-Stecker hinter dem Mikrofon noch als Angriffsfläche nutzen und statt dem Mikrofon in die hintere Halterung einklemmen. Mit dem normalen mitgelieferten Schaumstoffwindschutz gibt es hingegen keine Probleme.

Acquistato per accompagnare il mio ntg2 è davvero comodo, non aggiunge peso eccessivo nell'uso quotidiano e con l'aggancio a passo standard alla base è utilizzabile anche in accoppiata ad un boom.
