This is my 4th Tegeler and the 4th Tegeler device that I will not touch modding. After testing it I opened it to see the quality of the parts inside. And like my two Cremes and Magnetismus 2 - everything inside is of the highest possible quality form the very best manufacturers. Even all electrolytics are Nichicon, Rubycon, United Chemicon, Kemet. Huge Wima film caps everywhere. No compromises with their values as well. Other top Japanese and German brands too. Design seems fantastic. This just couldn't be an analogue device, while looking at the noise floor (very low and 0 hum even for a tube device!), but the way it sounds and it's functions - woooow! Also, I am already sure that newly manufactured tubes are better than any NOS..actually most of those Nos tubes are rebranded..
To me, nothing currently beat or is even close to Tegeler, even if you go X2 and X3 the price... If you want dirty, noisy aka "colourfull mojo" devices, or simply overpriced compressors that just..compress well, while adding a lot of noise to your signal - go with the overpriced hardware by the world's famous manufacturers.. I won't touch almost any of them, even if they cut prices several times. Nothing like Tegeler and the last nearly 5 years proved exactly this to me. At 100%. Love you Tegeler, I am your biggest fan. Keep going! Big respect also to Heritage and Drawmer, but..i need to mod a bit your hardware. I am sad for SSL, as their newer units are going more and more downhill, feeling and sounding more like toys. Yeah, I care about European manufacturers of pro-audio hardware and there are several other brands that make from good to great devices, while not really that much overpriced. But currently SSL is at the end of my list..for dynamic processors or for interfaces.
Tegeler, thanks for the amazing products, support and the nice chats with you too!
(no, I don't work for them and I rarely write a review here, but my ~5 years experience with the cremes, magnetismus, other equipment and now the VTRC is that positive.. Extremely positive, given the cost..Tegeler forever ❤️
Best regards from Bulgaria.
Ps: Thomann, please, make a "show all" for the languages.., not making people clicking languages one by one every time they want to read all available reviews.
