The perfect introduction to the world of recording

The SC 600 from the t.bone is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with switchable polar patterns: omni and cardioid. It delivers a remarkably transparent and musical sound that's impressive across the board, especially considering its accessible price point. The build quality, too, leaves little to be desired: A sturdy housing and protective metal grille shield the capsule and internal electronics from mechanical damage. All this is exactly why the SC 600 was named a test winner in the "Budget" category by the magazine Professional Audio. Included in the box are an elastic shock-mount and a soft protective pouch.

High and wide

Th SC 600 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone featuring a 1" gold-coated diaphragm that produces a really wonderful sound. Like all condensers, it operates on standard 48V phantom power. According to the manufacturer's specs, the frequency response ranges from 30Hz to 20,000Hz, with a sensitivity of 12mV/Pa in omni mode and 13.9mV/Pa in cardioid mode. This wide dynamic range, along with high SPL handling of up to 129dB SPL (cardioid) and 131dB SPL (omni), makes it suitable for a wide variety of applications. There's also an integrated, switchable high-pass filter, set at 100Hz with a slope of 6dB per octave, which helps to reduce low-frequency noise and handling vibrations during recording.

Great price, great sound

In terms of value for money, the t.bone SC 600 really stands out from the crowd. Its build quality, sound, and technical features will meet even more demanding expectations, while the price itself makes it particularly attractive to those just getting started. That said, it's not limited to beginners, and semi-professional users will also find it to be a solid option. Whether it's a home studio or a project setup, the straightforward handling makes it easy to achieve really professional results without a lot of technical work beforehand or in post. And really, that's something that benefits almost any user.

About the t.bone

Since 1994, the t.bone has been one of Thomann's in-house brands, and its name can be found on devices such as headphones, wireless systems, in-ear equipment, and various microphones and matching accessories. the t.bone products are made exclusively by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. This provides a clear advantage: Brand-quality products at very reasonable prices. And word gets around: One in seven Thomann customers has already bought at least one product from the t.bone.

A natural fit for the studio

The characteristics of the SC 600 – this studio-quality, large-diaphragm condenser microphone from the t.bone – give users a wide range of possible applications. Highly dynamic brass instruments, loud guitar amps, and the more delicate articulation of an acoustic guitar all come through cleanly. Even percussive instruments benefit from the mic's musical and polished sound. And of course, recording the human voice is very much part of what this microphone is designed for. Taken as a whole, it's fair to say that the SC 600 provides reliable performance in both home and project studio environments.

R
surprised with its compact size and crystal-clear sound.
Rusizl 10.09.2020
Light, cheap, high-quality. Don't look for something he can't do. it will be able to record anything if your hands grow from the right place) I would generally buy 10 of them for all occasions. and for vocals, and for recording guitars, acoustic instruments, and drums. but we use different microphones so that we can choose which sound to use. There are no bad microphones. There are incorrectly selected ones for the wrong purposes. Friends use them as a microphone for blogging and recording guitars. By the way, it is very small. It comes with a wonderful spider and a high-quality soft case.

No regrets
Septennial 28.02.2020
This microphone works perfect for me (recording YouTube videos). Sound is crisp and ambient noise (not using it in studio environment) is in very acceptable levels.
When i was ordering it, i was under impression that this microphone is a bit bigger in size (like Behringer B1 Pro) but it is not. This is a smaller microphone but nevertheless it works just awesome for this price range. I am using it with PreSonus AudioBox and only self-noise i can notice is when i crank the levels up above 80% volume (which is really not needed when recording voice in close range).

I am super happy with it.

Another ACE from t.bone!
EdKing 03.12.2025
Yes, another ace from t-bone! Am very satisfied with her working and possibilities. Adjust her in any way you wish... high or low... she can adapt herself to any music situation. Vocals, instruments, drums, go so-on, she delivers it all. Must Have, I have to say, too. Yes, t-bone has done it again! Even experts say, that t-bones mics are just as good as the high value mics! And, this says much!

A
An Excellent Mic
Anonymous 11.06.2015
For the price you really cant get any better. You have the option to record on both sides or just cardioid, comes in handy when recording with friends. It is very sensitive and records brilliantly. This mic is not boomy at all and after EQ produces an amazing sound.

The only down is the quality of the nobs, they wiggle and are made from cheap plastic as well the screw that holds the shock-mount broke very easily will break since it's not made from metel and from a compound what so ever. The rest seems to be all metal a very solid.

I Higly recommend it to anyone, either for acoustic instruments and vocals

I here send my video review for it: https://youtu.be/cR43DdOxtEo
